"Besides the usual services (disaster recovery, etc.) we also use EZ-Backup
in other non-traditional ways. EZ-Backup eases users transition to new
machines and the move appears almost seamless to the user since we can
restore all the personal files from the ADSM backup without the user
giving up their old computer first. Also, if a file is deleted in error
the user can manually recover it within minutes with a command on the
client software (this used to take days with our old backup service, since
we relied on the server software to push the file(s) to the clients ).

". . . When I came
back from the Holiday break our server died on us. We luckily were using
ADSM as our backup. I was having trouble restoring the documents from the
Mac side of our server, which I was running the backup thru my mac, a
PowerMac 7100/80. Anyway, to make a long story short thanks to (the EZ-Backup
Team) they were right there to help. We did get our documents restored and
are using the newest version of ADSM, which allows the Mac documents to be
backed up without using my mac. Life is a littler easier here
